Homes

If Greenfield Village is anything, it is a grand collection of homes which were actually lived in by notable people at one time or another. To think that Henry Ford had enough interest in such a common place items as old homes, with his billions of dollars, is amazing all by itself. Henry Ford felt it was important to preserve the buildings he was quite familiar with as a way to acquaint youngsters with what had gone before. Although he freely admitted that he was no fan of history, he certainly was a great contributor to the history of his era. This collection of homes at Greenfield Village presents a wonderful array of living arrangements over time.
